## WEBINAR: **Tax Season 2021: A Looming Crisis for Low-Income Families of Color**

### Thursday, November 19th, 3pm EST

COVID 19 has set in motion events that will result in a disastrous 2021 tax season for 2 million low-income, working families who faced job loss in 2020, disproportionately Black, Latinx and female-headed. This coming year, many of these families will receive significantly smaller refunds than they are used to – at the exact time other relief measures (and reserves) have been exhausted. This is a financial crisis *and* an equity crisis, and it’s time to raise the alarm.

We must warn families of this looming disaster so they have time to prepare, find and weigh options to manage without expected refunds, and avoid making high stakes financial decisions when caught off guard and under pressure. In this webinar Commonwealth's Executive Director and Co-Founder, Timothy Flacke, along with a group of expert panelists, will discuss who will be most impacted by the 2021 tax season and how, and share a roadmap for what Commonwealth and other organizations can do to help the roughly 2 million low-income Americans who are about to lose a critical financial lifeline.
